Special Pets for Adoption
This page features dogs and cats who have been waiting a long time for a home. They have been repeatedly overlooked by visitors to the shelter, often because they are quiet, shy or are acting out due to their growing frustration of being in an enclosed environment. In addition, some animals are overwhelmed by the large number of other dogs and cats at the shelter. Others may just take a while to warm up to strangers. These pets cannot compete for attention with the more "forward" dogs and cats, so they go unnoticed while others are chosen.
This is a sad situation, because these pets are sweet and affectionate when given a chance to show it. "Wallflowers" at the shelter, they can blossom in their very own homes.
Please take a look at some of these guys and gals, and consider taking one of them home. They really deserve a chance, and they have a lot of love to give in return.
